Shadow Traits, Types & Profiles, 2
This training builds on Part 1 by exploring the process through which we form our personality around the 12 Shadow Traits and by analyzing each of the 12 Shadow Personality Types more deeply, including the values, behavior patterns, motivation, imbalances, shadows, and steps of growth for each type. Completion of this training fulfills one of the requirements for becoming a Certified Shadow Types Coach.
In part 2 of Shadow Traits, Types and Profiles profiles, we explore the process through which we form our personality around the 12 Shadow Traits. In particular, we examine the inner dynamics that can lead us to adopt one of the 12 Shadow Traits as our primary coping mechanism for dealing with life’s challenges. We then analyze how this coping mechanism, or Shadow Trait, becomes central to our personality and leads us to develop one of the 12 Shadow Personality Types as our dominant one.
To understand the Shadow Personality Types more deeply, we analyze the values, behavior patterns, motivation, and other facets of each one. We also investigate the shadows of each type as well as the distorted perceptions each type is likely to have about other Shadow Types. We continue our study of the Types by looking at the imbalances each type is prone to as well as the typical shaming messages each type is likely to hear as a result of the imbalances. To handle these imbalances when they arise, we offer practical suggestions for helping to bring ourselves or someone else back into balance when necessary. Finally, we consider steps of growth for each type to bring out the gold in their shadows and to live a more integrated, fulfilled life.
